I think that these changes are good. I would suggest clarification on removing third party appeal rights. Is the intent to prevent third party appeals of comprehensive zoning bylaws initiated by municipalities as well? Lire davantage

Please stop “cutting red tape” and using MZOs to make it easier for developers to destroy wildlife habitat, wetlands, forests, etc. The UN says that affordable housing must not come at a coat to the environment. And these projects are mostly commercial and industrial. Lire davantage

Regrettably this seems to remove in almost all cases the decision making authority from local Councils. Instead rights of appeal to the OLT will shortcut Council review, and giving the Minister the right to decide parking and lot coverage etc, again centralizes decisions with the Minister. Why Bill 185 must go. 1. Citizens must have a right to appeal planning decisions at the Ontario Land Tribunal or its equivalent. 2. Low density urban sprawl must not be allowed on farmland and other rural land. Local food and water security must come first. Lire davantage

I do not believe that limits on lot coverage or limits on the number of bedrooms are a barrier to the creation of Additional Residential Units.  The largest barrier will be the building costs of creating the units including hooking up to municipal services such as sewer and water.  The limits on bed Lire davantage
