The air-pollution associated with motor-vechicals has been shown to cause asthma, permanent damage to lungs, cancer and premature death. This is especially true in areas adjacent to major roads which this bill is targetting. Lire davantage

This is not money being well spent. Our healthcare and education are crumbling, but you're going to spend OUR money ripping up existing bike lanes, that actually get cars off the road and improve traffic. But I guess that doesn't help your friends and lobbyists get rich, so we can't have that.

This proposal is mean spirited and an insult to the thousands of Ontario cyclists that use bike lanes every day. Why doesn’t my provincial government care about my safety as a cyclist? Lire davantage

This policy has been created in opposition to all of the data showing how bike lanes improve overall transit within a city. Beyond this issue though, bike lanes without a doubt create a safer environment for all road users. Lire davantage

I am absolutely opposed to the removal of the bike lanes. I have been so happy with the bikes lanes and have used them for my commuting around town. The city has finally started to feel safe to bike around. Lire davantage

Removing the newly installed bike lanes is not a good idea. We need more bikes on the road and less cars and making it easier to bike is good first step.

I am completely against this proposal. Limiting bike lanes will move the bicycles onto the road increasing gridlock and decreasing safety for cyclists.

I disapprove of this legislation. Bike lanes help reduce gridlock and should be expanded, not reduced. Ripping out existing ones is a waste of money. Lire davantage

Hello, This is terrible legislation on multiple levels. First, it is an absurd overreach of provincial power. Why is the province wasting its time and resources micro managing municipalities? Second, ripping out existing bike lines is just a stupid waste of money. Lire davantage

The province ought to stay out of municipal issues and focus on provincial matters that actually count. As a DRIVER in this province I SUPPORT BIKE LANES and I OPPOSE ANY MEASURE FROM THE PROVINCE THAT WOULD PREVENT FUTURE LANES OR CAUSE REMOVAL of current lanes. Lire davantage

Closing bike lanes will make gridlock worse. You can fit far more people into bike lanes than into cars on roads. Lire davantage

I am deeply concerned about the decision to remove the newly installed bike lanes in our city. These bike lanes have significantly improved traffic flow and safety by providing dedicated space for cyclists, keeping them out of fast-moving car lanes. Lire davantage

You have got to be kidding me, you’ve been off for 19 weeks and this is the best idea you have to combat gridlock. Here’s an idea “Reducing gridlock in the emergency rooms, saving lives and improving outcomes”

For a party and ideology so focused on "common sense" this is completely illogical. Bike lanes do not contribute to gridlock; they lessen it. Make it make sense.

Really do not believe in this policy. This feels like pure politics, stoking a culture war of drivers vs cyclists. Every bike rider is a car taken off the road. Bike commuters often don't own cars and may not have other options to get to work/school. Lire davantage
