I am against the idea of pushing through building the 413 highway without following the required environmental laws and reviews. There is no valid reason to do this and makes the ontario government look untrustworthy to the public. Lire davantage

This is a dangerous proposal that fails to take into consideration the physical safety of cyclists or the environmental future of Ontario. Investment of tax payer dollars ought to be focused on increasing the viability of using carbon free methods of transportation.

Terrible decision to bypass the environmental assessments required to determine if construction will have a detrimental impact to the environment and society. This is cutting corners and too common from this government

The legislation does not acknowledge the Province's recognition of the value that bicycle infrastructure can have on improving traffic safety, reducing congestion, reducing pollution, improving public health or stimulating the local economy. Lire davantage

Although traffic is a real problems in our city, this is not the way to solve it. Data, research, and common sense show that bike lanes are not the main reasons for traffic. In fact, the more safe and useful bike lanes are created, the less cars will be on the road. Lire davantage

This seems like more red for something that a no issue that going to cost the tax payer for money to have the province review a municipal issue. Let the municipal make their own decisions for you was voted in their city. Why is the province stepping in. Seem silly and a waste of money.

The only, correct way to reduce gridlock is to reduce demand for cars/trucks/etc. This is accomplished by **increasing** public transport and other alternative transport methods like bicycling. Lire davantage

This policy is terrible. It will not reduce gridlock. It will increase death and injury. Bike lanes are part of the *solution* to gridlock. A connected active transportation network and a great public transit system get people out of cars. Too many cars cause gridlock. This should be obvious.

Not only are you endangering the lives of cyclists, but you are using this bill to create highways that nobody needs while bypassing existing regulations for environmental assessment and property expropriation: Lire davantage

This bill is a massive waste of resources, bike lanes keep bikes out of traffic and thus prevent them from slowing down cars. It's also much safer for everyone and better for the environment. The official government should let municipalities decide where bike lanes make sense

Nothing in this bill is in the interests of the people of Ontario. We need municipalities to be allowed to make their own decisions about infrastructure based on their constituents and studies. This is overreach obviously directed at Toronto. Lire davantage

Bike lanes on Yonge are blocking access for emergency vehicles. Drivers are getting frustrated and making risky decisions. I rarely see any bikes using the lanes.

I cannot support a government or a proposal that panders to drivers driving fast and cheap, ignoring safety, fiscal responsibility, accessibility, mobility, climate change mitigation and virtually every other indicator saying this act is a horrendous waste

This bill is foolish. The only way to reduce traffic on arterial roads is to reduce the need for cars. Cars are traffic. More room for cars will induce more demand. Alternatives like more public transit and more safe and connected bike lanes are the only ways to reduce traffic. Lire davantage

As someone who lives in a rural area, I am appalled at the government’s lack of logical thinking in proposing the removal of bike lanes and increasing cars as the solution to our problems. We need to be actively pursuing alternative forms of transport in all areas including Toronto. Lire davantage

This is a big overreach by the province. Let city’s manage themselves and focus on the province. Micromanaging Toronto misses the big picture.

Bike lanes on main roads are a critical component in reducing congestion on Ontario’s roads. Cycling infrastructure takes up considerably less space than car infrastructure to move the same number of people. Lire davantage
