I do not want this. I want MORE bike lanes. Stop forcing more bikers onto the road, it's dangerous for them, and it does nothing but slow me down while driving. Bike lanes are significantly cheaper on a yearly maintenance basis than adding extra lanes to our road. Lire davantage

First and foremost, investing in bike lanes encourages a shift away from car dependency, which is vital in combating traffic congestion. By reallocating space to cyclists, we can create safer, more efficient roadways that promote active transportation. Lire davantage

If bike lanes are removed, I would hope that the police, in my case the Ottawa Police Service, would monitor on continuous basis that drivers do not encroach on biker, that is allow one metre clearance. Lire davantage

The fact that you have made a society that fully depends on a car to get around us the problem. Oh that's too big a fix?? . Well let's blame bike lanes for the fact there are too many cars an no effective trains to move people around. Lire davantage

Bill 212, the "Saving You Time Act", will do anything but save time. Bicycle lanes reduce dependency on cars, lower traffic and carbon emissions, all while promoting a healthy and active lifestyle. Lire davantage

I have to say I disagree with the bill wholeheartedly. It is a clear overreach of the provincial government's authority, which will cause the overhead for creating much needed bike lanes (of which we do not have enough). Lire davantage

It is deeply concerning that Doug Ford is attempting to shut down our bike lanes, an essential public asset that serves as a lifeline for thousands of cyclists, families, and commuters. Lire davantage

I live downtown, and bike instead of driving as often as I can. It's the fastest way to get around. I only use roads with bike lanes because of how unsafe it is to share the road with cars. Lire davantage

Horrible horrible horrible plan to limit bike lane decision making powers. Bike lanes are essential to safe and inclusive city planning and benefit everyone. I am shocked that this is even being considered. Shame on Doug Ford.

Go waste our tax money somewhere else please, leave the bike lanes to municipalities.

I oppose this bill. Bikes are an effective method for reducing congestion. forcing people to stop biking and to switch to driving is only going to make congestion worse.

The provincial government should be promoting and supporting active transportation such as cycling, not creating obstacles to it. I am disappointed by this initiative to make it more difficult for cities to chose to install life-saving, congestion-battling bike lanes. Lire davantage

Bike lanes save lives. Removing them won’t stop people from riding bikes - it will only increase the risk of serious injuries and deaths. Cyclists will continue to bike in Toronto, and they will do so by taking up more space in your car lanes. Your congestion in Toronto will only get worse. Lire davantage

I am a resident of downtown Toronto who uses the bike lanes the government it reviewing/threatening to rip up. I also own a car and would like to note that if I am on my bike I am not driving, the lanes have made me bike more, thus reducing gridlock. Lire davantage

Doug Ford. Stay out of Toronto. Biking gets you around toronto significantly faster than driving. Most of the road closures and traffic in this city is mainly due to the lack of public transit options. Also more lanes does not lessen traffic! That's something many people are aware of!

Under no circumstances is the province able to deal with bike lanes in every city in the province. This is overstepping in the worst possible way. We have municipal elected govt and staff to decide this local issue. Do your job and deal with provincial matters, like health care. Lire davantage

I am a daily biker in Toronto and I own a car. Each time I decide to bike where I’m going, I’ve taken one more car off of Toronto’s congested streets. I should also note, I bike daily with fear of being injured or worse by vehicles. Lire davantage
