Stop wasting the our time with this nonsense. Safe cycling infrastructure saves time, money, and lives. Make evidence-based decisions and stop acting like clowns.

As a property owner and taxpayer in Toronto, I would like to know that fair share of my tax dollars go to supporting my primary mode of transportation, which is riding a bicycle. Lire davantage

The proposed changes will increase pollution and not reduce travel times beyond a short term period. It will thereby worsen air quality and contribute to global warming which is our disrupting farmers' growing seasons. Lire davantage

Overruling the elected City of Toronto council is an attack on democracy regardless of what the issue is. I plan from now on the ask candidates about making Toronto a charter city and making this an issue in elections. Lire davantage

More, and safer bike routes will mean fewer cars causing the congestion. We need to prioritize more bike lanes throughout the province.

The “Reducing Gridlock, Saving You Time Act, 2024” is misguided at best, and cynical, Orwellian doublespeak at worst. There is no rational basis for the premise that removing bike infrastructure will reduce gridlock. Lire davantage

I am dismayed and discouraged to read about this proposal. My reasons to oppose this are: 1. It will increase red tape for the provincial government, who say they are reducing red tape to get things done. Lire davantage

I do not agree with removing any bike lanes. I do not agree with province stepping into municipal politics to decide if bike lanes should or should not be removed. Municipalities must have their own power to put in, keep or remove bike lanes.

This bill would fail to tackle the issues it is trying to address. We should be encouraging people to bike or take public transit, which would reduce congestion and pollution. Lire davantage

Do not rip out bike lanes, that is the worst idea, it’s an integral part of being able to bike safely in a country that runs on cars

While I understand the concerns that some may have regarding the construction of bike lanes, I believe that outright preventing or removing them from municipalities is a short-sighted approach. Lire davantage

Please do not waste money that could be spent on health care or education or literally anything to help the people of Ontario and Toronto by destroying biking infrastructure. The only solution to traffic is less cars and this is a complete over reach by the provincial government.

As a user of Bike lanes, both for work, and for other commutes, I think it is insane that the government of Ontario is proposing legislation that will limit, or interfere with the construction of Bike lanes. Lire davantage

I think this is the most backwards policy to be implemented by any level of government. Bike lanes do not impact congestion to the level that matters, the lack of transit does. Lire davantage

Ran up the debt with LRT to reduce need for cars, now more cars faster policy. Car usage always increases once flow improves to congest yet again. How about keep cyclists safe, and promote the most efficient green ways to get around like cycling and walking. Lire davantage

This will create considerable red tape for municipalities that are building new connections and responding to their residents. Increasing traffic lanes increases traffic. The base principle of this approach is wrong.

This is laughably ignorant policy and absurd government overreach of the exact type that I thought conservatives were supposed to be opposed to. Lire davantage

What is the point of this other than to punish cities and remove their autonomy? Stop wasting resources on stuff like this! Hire more doctors and nurses instead!

I am writing against this policy that would reduce municipalities ability to implement bike lanes. Bike lanes do not impact congestion to the level that matters, the lack of transit does. Bike lanes have been successfully implemented in East York and are a boon for the community. Lire davantage
