The third paragraph under "What we are proposing" should be replaced by:: Municipal projects that have reached the construction stage or contracts have been awarded in advance of the framework coming into effect would NOT be exempt from provincial approvals. Lire davantage

Getting rid of what is usually the fastest way to get around the city and spending extra taxpayer dollars to do so is ridiculous. Lire davantage

As an individual who has travelled extensively through Europe, I have seen the importance of Bike Lanes to improving pollution and individual fitness. More importantly, the research shows that within 2-3 years after a new highway lane has been constructed, gridlock returns to it's previous levels. Lire davantage

This bill is just incredible overreach from the Provincial government. It's Big Government going unchecked. Lire davantage

I'm very concerned that this will greatly harm small business revenues. Bike lanes are consistently great for businesses in busy areas. Lire davantage

How does removing bike lanes along University, Bloor and Yonge reduce gridlock along the DVP, QEW or the Gardiner? Lire davantage

A massive waste of government time and resources. the province should not meddle in city planning, especially for such a poor reason.

I use all three of these bike lanes regularly. This will make me less safe, more likely to drive, and slow down my commute. Stop pandering for cheap votes using things that are proven to be exclusively negative. Lire davantage

This CANNOT happen. Bike lanes are an essential part of tens of thousands of Torontonians' commute every day. More would take bikes if there was MORE investment in building safer bike lanes. How does shoving bikers onto the road, or forcing those bikers to drive instead improve congestion???? Lire davantage

How much money is your government setting aside to pay for the funerals of children cyclists who are killed by motorists as a result of this Bill? It had better be a lot.

I am writing to express my strong opposition to the province's proposed plan to limited the construction of bike lanes in municipalities across Ontario and remove existing lanes in Toronto. Lire davantage

How much taxpayer money will go to removing these bike lanes, used by thousands of riders every day? Which study did the government use to inform and justify the decision to do so? How will road safety be impacted, by all road users? What do the BIAs think of this maneuver? Lire davantage

Bill 212’s framing of bike lanes as a cause of traffic congestion is misleading and appears to be an attempt to sow division rather than address the real causes of gridlock. Lire davantage

Hi again, I’ve commented on the previous bill or whatever this is. You clearly have no consideration for people who live within the city. Or people of Lower income who rely on biking and safe sidewalks to move through their neighbourhoods. Lire davantage

This is a joke, right? Is there seriously legislation being pushed through that is intended to remove bike lanes that have already been built in the city of Toronto? Lire davantage

This proposal is rooted in ill-informed decision-making. Removing already existing bike lanes is a waste of taxpayer dollars and goes against logic. Cyclists will always exist and removing bike lanes will not stop people from cycling on main streets. Lire davantage

I forgot to mention in my previous comment that I think that without clear answers to the previously submitted questions, I would say that this proposal is a waste of time, money, government resources, increases "red tape," and is based on no evidence. Lire davantage
