It's ridiculous to remove bike lanes. Not only is it provincial overreach, the future is not more cars. It's obviously anything but that.

Hi, I live near Bloor Street in Toronto. I love that I can walk and ride my bike nearly everywhere I need to go. It's one of the biggest reasons why I live in the city. My car mostly sits in the driveway. Lire davantage

As a Toronto my entire life. I have both driven and taken TTC and biked. One of the most positive impacts to my life has been the opening of new bike lanes. It has allowed me to rely less on a car or car services as well as feel safe and secure while using them. Lire davantage

Bike lanes fight climate change. They reduce pollution; they are literally a net zero way to get around. Removing bike lanes will put cyclists who came out of their cars thanks to safe bike lanes, back into cars. Lire davantage

I recommend that plans should be reversed to improve road safety to all road user to saving life. More car lane, too many drivers will be speeding a lot that put other users at risks and some will drive careless and more road rage. Lire davantage

After years of driving to go from the east end to downtown, I have decided to take the bike for 30min everyday to get to work. Lire davantage

Cities need alternative modes of transport that are safe, and removing bike lanes will only hurt Toronto over the long term.

Requiring the City remove bike lanes is both an egregious over reach of provincial authority into municipal jurisdiction and is justified without fact. Bike lanes save lives and do not cause traffic congestion. Lire davantage

I strongly object to this proposal to remove bike lanes in Toronto to prioritize more motor vehicle lanes. This approach is a misguided and shortsighted plan that disregards sustainable, environmentally conscious transit solutions. Lire davantage

I live on Bloor St W and I do not support the removal of bike lanes anywhere. How dare you waste tax money to remove infrastructure that is not only sustainable but also prevents cyclists from getting killed. Shame on you.

Bill 212 is shortsighted and misguided. I SUPPORT BIKE LANES ON MAJOR STREETS IN TORONTO AND ALL CITIES. Do not undo the good work to make our cities livable. Lire davantage

This is not based on any evidence except for the whims and anecdotes of the Premier. This will do nothing but slow traffic as cyclists are forced back into cars. It is a gross overreach for the province to meddle in municipal affairs and I condemn it in the strongest possible terms. Lire davantage

Bike lanes get people out of cars and reduce traffic. There is no logic to this.

Leave the bike lanes intact and reduce car dependency! Why are you wasting tax payer money to remove something already set up to reduce traffic

The bike lanes on Bloor street should not be removed. They are an intrinsic part of our neighborhoods and a way for families who live in and around the area to get around without adding more cars on the street. Lire davantage

Bill 212 is a terrible idea. The Conservative Government should not meddle in Municipal affairs. The Conservatives have lost my vote provincially and federally. Lire davantage
