Having Bike lanes on so called Secondary roads vs primary roads does not solve the purpose. Secondary roads are usually roads where the speed limit is less than 50 km/h so bike lanes are not necessarily needed. Lire davantage

Bike lanes reduce traffic, find science backing up your claims before forcing cyclists onto dangerous roads.

As a 25 year resident on Roxborough St E next to Yonge St, I have witnessed the adverse impact of bike lanes on both the safety of residents in the neighborhood as well as the resulting traffic gridlock. The current situation is far worse than prior to the bike lane existence. Lire davantage

Incentivizing Ontarians to drive by removing bike lanes with not improve traffic; it will have the inverse effect. And in a climate emergency, it is a terrible idea to begin with. Lire davantage

Please remove the bike lanes on Yonge St. They contribute to gridlock traffic, air pollution as a result of idling cars, and increased traffic in the adjacent residential areas as cars try to bypass the congestion. And they’re not being used as they should be. Lire davantage

I am firmly opposed to dismantling bike lanes, which are essential for the health, safety and well-being of cyclists and for environmental sustainability. Torontonians need more transportation options, not fewer. Lire davantage

I fully support the removal of the bikes lanes on Yonge street. The bike lanes on Yonge have been nothing but a disaster. Traffic is complete grid locked. People are so angry they run red lights, sit on their phones. Ppls have been killed. Emergency vehicles cannot get through. Lire davantage

I do not agree with this proposed bill. As a driver I feel more comfortable with the existing bike infrastructure.

I use the bike lanes in the city every day to get to and from work because the subway and streetcars are not reliable! Don’t take away the only reliable transit for me👀!

I am a at various times a driver, a pedestrian, and a cyclist living and working in Toronto. Cycling in Toronto can be terrifying and I have spent years reluctant to use cycling as a way to commute out of fears for my life. Lire davantage

I’ve been really happy with the premier’s work on transit and infrastructure over the last year, to the point of considering voting PC next election, but I can’t in good conscience support ripping out bike lanes. Lire davantage

I am writing to request the reconsideration of Bill 212. My concerns relate to the provincial oversight and restrictions on the installation of cycling infrastructure (i.e., bike lanes). Lire davantage

Bike lanes are integral to Toronto. They are a key mode of transportation for many that is both environmentally friendly and often more efficient for riders, and also provides the added benefit of less congested roads. Lire davantage
