As a family of four in Toronto with a vehicle, we all travel via bike every single day. Having bike lanes available makes the road safer for both motorists and cyclists by providing a designated space for each type of traffic. Lire davantage

I am submitting comments on behalf of Yonge4All, a diverse group of residents who live, work and shop in midtown Toronto, and believe that Yonge Street should be welcoming, safe and accessible for people of all ages and abilities, whether they walk, take transit, drive a car, ride a bike or use anot Lire davantage

Bill 212 is a major overreach and encroachment on a municipality’s ability to develop safe and efficient road networks. The proposal does not consider global evidence on bike lanes and congestion in good faith. Lire davantage

Leave the bike lanes alone. The Ontario government shouldn't be messing with a City of Toronto issue.

The Bikelanes on Bloor-Danforth get me safety to and from work. I've enjoyed them for the last couple years and saved so much money not having to drive or take the ttc. These bike lanes are heavily used from may to October and still have a surprising amount of use in the off season. Lire davantage

What is this government thinking? Bike lanes reduce traffic by getting people out of cars and into more efficient modes of travel for a city. Lire davantage

This is such a waste of taxpayer dollars. Bicycle lanes help make the city easier to navigate and greener. Removing them is just going to waste time, money and it won't help relieve traffic in the city. Lire davantage

I think removing any of the bike lanes on Bloor St., University Ave. and Yonge Street is a bad idea. STOP pandering to a certain group of people. The bike lanes haven’t been in long enough for people to resign themselves to using them. Lire davantage

This is terrible legislation on multiple levels. First, it is an absurd overreach of provincial power. Why is the province wasting its time and resources micro managing municipalities? Lire davantage

What a waste of taxpayer money it would be to spend millions removing bike lanes we already spent millions building. Lire davantage

This bill is dangerous, crooked and only serves to give the provincial government far too much power in jurisdictions it has no business involving itself in. Lire davantage

What a disgrace. Highway expansion has been proven time and again to be an ineffective way of mitigating traffic. Taking away bike lanes and removing environmental checks and balances only serve to further insult our community members without any tangible benefits. Lire davantage

I 100% do not support this bill as it is currently written. This government is appalling in its lack of transparency. Imagine proposing a bill for the removal of bike lanes - ACTION THAT IS NOT WANTED BY THE PEOPLE - and reading about land expropriation!!! Are you kidding me? Lire davantage
