This bill is an outrage and should not be passed. Removing bike lanes will not traffic worse. Investing in public transit and safe bike infrastructure is the only way we can reduce traffic.

As someone who has been hit by an SUV Truck while cycling in Toronto I want to strongly support the need for the expansion and not removal of bike lanes in Toronto. I was seriously injured and not able to work for three months. Lire davantage

I bike to work everyday and only do so because of the bike lanes that are in place. Biking takes something that takes 30mins+ and reduces it to 15-20mins. It helps me get around the city with ease and I don’t have to feel unsafe biking around. Lire davantage

Bike lanes are: 1.Essential to combat the over saturation of condos and commuting downtown. 2.They will reduce our geothermal imprint on the city. Lire davantage

Do not pass Bill 212. It will not "save you time" as it will not reduce traffic congestion (read the evidence, Premier Ford!!) and it will make getting to work and running errands VERY dangerous for those who choose cycling as their mode of transportation.

Removing bike lanes would be a mistake, if passed the construction would create more congestion than it would be solving. Bikers who are activellly reducing vehicle traffic by choosing another mode of transportation would be put at unnecessary risk so Mr. Lire davantage

Highway 413 won’t ease congestion—it will only make it worse. Experts from around the world have proven that building more highways leads to "induced demand," meaning more traffic and more pollution. This project seems focused on serving those who can afford cars, but what about everyone else? Lire davantage

Removing bike lanes that have already been put in place is a huge waste of money, I refuse to let my tax dollars be used for this. Lire davantage

I’m both a cyclist and a driver, and it’s extremely clear that bike lanes improve safety for both cyclists and drivers. They improve traffic flow by reducing the chaos of cyclists in driving lanes, and improve congestion by encouraging alternative modes of transportation. Lire davantage

We need bike lanes. I bike to work on bloor st every day and it’s more efficient, better than the environment and better for my health. Getting rid of bike lanes on major streets will only make traffic congestion worse and will put cyclists in danger as they need to share the road with cars. Lire davantage

Does not make sense. There many European countries with similar weather and city infrastructure which has managed to integrate cyclists into the transportation fabric and done it successfully. Bill does not make sense.

Doug Ford is wasting our taxpayer money. He is endangering the lives of cyclists. If you look at the actual evidence, bike lanes increase cyclists on the road thereby reducing cars on the road, and reducing gridlock. Lire davantage

I oppose the removal of bike lanes! Living in downtown Toronto, congestion exists because there are too many single occupant vehicles in the city. These cars block the intersections, double park for deliveries, park illegally etc, causing congestion. Lire davantage

I am writing to strongly oppose Bill 212. Bike lanes should be a municipal decision, built according to the needs and desires of the municipality in which bike lanes serve as important transportation infrastructure. Lire davantage

As someone living outside the GTA, a bill focuses exclusively on bike lanes has zero benefit to me, it only continues to serve as an example of the current Premier wanting to be mayor of Toronto more than actually run the province. Lire davantage

I 100% support the removal of bike lanes in the place of roadways. Bike lanes are not efficient at reducing traffic flow and barely impact reducing commute times for any road users but rather increase transit times for the bulk of the population. You have my support. Great work.

Keep the bike lanes. I use these about 75% of my commute and will be forced to now drive which is costly and will add to any traffic . Lire davantage

I don't want the Highway 413 project to be exempt from the Environmental Assessment Act. This project needs to go through rigorous checks and these checks should be public and transparent to the public, in respect to the project's environmental impact.
