Dear Mr Ford.I vote we keep the lanes.Bike lanes of course make it easy to bike. And biking is how many people get around. Some can’t afford a car, or like me it’s just amazing to see Toronto from a different view. We all know how bad the city’s traffic is! Lire davantage

Honestly, I'm a big fan of bike lanes - well designed and implemented bike lanes that protect cyclists, pedestrians and drivers. And as someone who travels throughout North America and Europe, I enjoy the experience and safety of well planned bike lanes in many different countries. Lire davantage

Getting rid of the bike lanes is dangerous and impractical. When Vision Zero and the Bloor Street Pilot projects launched, we saw a notable spike in both usage of the lanes, as well as safety for cyclists. Lire davantage

As a 30+ year resident of the Bloor/Kingsway neighbourhood, I am a longtime user of the various businesses along Bloor between Prince Edward and Islington. With the addition of the poorly designed bike lanes, I purposely avoid this section of Bloor now because it is dangerous. Lire davantage

I oppose the enactment of part 7, municipal by law in bicycles of this act. I oppose 195.2 in that there is a lack of clarity around what information would be required and what qualifications the ministry will be using to make judgments. I oppose 195.2 (3) for the reasons stated above. Lire davantage

This will make traffic worse and biking more dangerous. The city knows best. Stop over reaching and focus on provincial needs.

Bike lanes should not be removed. The province should be committed to ensuring that all modes of transportation (via trains, bikes, and walking) is safe. By removing dedicated bike lanes, it will increase the chances of people who bike unsafe conditions. Lire davantage

Thank you for reading my comment. I live in downtown Toronto just south of Bloor St and Ossington Ave. I know about bike lanes because I watch people who use them every day, a number of times a day. Where I live, they are the safest way to ride a bicycle. Lire davantage

This is a terrible idea! The government has not done its homework on this policy and has no idea how many people actually benefit from bike lanes! Bike lanes provide a good measure of safety and save lives. Lire davantage

Ontario's Reducing Gridlock, Saving You Time Act, which aims to improve transportation infrastructure and reduce traffic congestion, is a proposal that may sound promising on the surface, but upon closer examination, it reveals several flaws that could worsen the problem it seeks to address and ulti Lire davantage

Like many, many Ontarians, I don't own a car--for health reasons, for safety reasons, and for environmental reasons, and because the cost associated with car ownership seems too high to justify. I think we can all agree that this in itself reduces traffic. Lire davantage

Multiple reports contradict the misinformation about bicycle lanes worsening traffic congestion. Bicycles are not the root of urban traffic problem. Bicycles and public transit are the most efficient way to move people through a city. Lire davantage

Everyone can agree that traffic in our cities can be improved. However, bike lanes are an essential part of the solution, and the removal of already-implemented bike lanes would be a misallocation of taxpayer funds. Lire davantage

As someone who lives in Waterloo, there have been a few roads near me that have had lane reductions in the past few years to install bike and pedestrian infrastructure. Specifically: King street from Erb to Columbia, and Erb street from Caroline to Peppler. Lire davantage

I strongly oppose the removal of bike lanes in downtown Toronto. It will make it more dangerous for cyclists and the drive harder for motorists - having to pass cyclists. Most importantly, it has been proven by various studies that removing bike lanes will not "reduce gridlock" or "save us time". Lire davantage

This is a bad faith bill intended to mislead the public and push through powers that would be inappropriate for the government to have or wield. Traffic studies show that bike lanes are good. Regulations are in place to require environmental assessments for many reasons. Lire davantage

Bike riders will be the absolute death of efficiency. What a mistake to tear down infrastructure to make the idiots happy.
