The decision to plan & build bike lanes should be made by the city and the people who live there, not the provincial government.

Bike lanes are not the cause of congestion. Please use research based evidence to inform decision making about transit. We need better public transit, and fewer single driver vehicles using the roads.

Bike lanes are essential for commuters in Toronto - commuters are everyone travelling to work, not only drivers. Lire davantage

I would like to request that the Ontario government does not remove bike lanes anywhere in the city of Toronto. This is a huge waste of money. The bike lanes were installed with a plan in mind. Lire davantage

The premier’s decision to overreach and meddle with what should be a municipal decision is shameful. Bike lanes are tgw future if any environmentally-enlightened big city. To start taking them away is a huge step backwards and will cost taxpayers millions. Hands off our bike lanes Doug!

I strongly oppose Bill 212. To better move people around, the provincial government should support municipalities in prioritizing other methods of transit instead of cars on highways and in cities. Lire davantage

I think this is an overreach of provincial authority, I do not want the provincial government, particularly Doug, to have control over the construction and maintenance of bike lanes in my city, Kitchener. Furthermore, the justification used is not sound. Lire davantage

This proposal is such a depressing motion to put forward and lacks foresight and optimism about our future. It's been proven time and again that the key to reducing gridlock is to reduce the amount of cars on the road. This is not complicated to understand. This proposal denies reality. Lire davantage

This is asinine, the only way to reduce traffic is to prioritize public transportation and reduce the use of single occupant vehicles in cities.

I use the Bloor/Danforth and Yonge bike lanes frequently. The safety these bike lanes have brought to cyclists is huge. I know many people who started cycling more frequently after these were opened because they had been uncomfortable and scared to cycle in the city previously. Lire davantage

I am against Bill 212. Adding more highways is not an effective way to reduce traffic and if it were, the methods that the bill proposes to expedite this process are not in the best interest of Ontario citizens. Lire davantage

I am opposed to the entirety of this bill, from the backwards notion that bike lanes are negatively impacting traffic to loosening environmental regulations for a useless highway and limiting people's ability to contest the loss of their homes for said highway. Lire davantage

While i support the construction of Highway 413 and the Bradford Bypass I don’t think legislation to “build highways faster” should be conjoined with the bike lane issue. The province needs to invest in multi modes of mobility, why can’t we have both? Lire davantage

Toronto bike lanes are great there should be more of them. We need them along major pathways and not on side streets or parks. We should do more to address communities that live close to these projects, and understand that bike or car we are just passing through a neighbourhood that's not ours. Lire davantage

By committing to safe accessible alternative transportation and providing bike lanes, this improves the gridlock in the city ten-fold. I have found that our entire family is much more comfortable using bikes to get places when there are properly made bike lanes in place to protect cyclists.

This is a stupid proposal! It is not going to make it any safer by removing the bike lanes.

Construction causes many traffic delays so I don't support removing existing bike lanes. At the same time, I agree with the proposal to not create new bike lanes without provincial approval where a lane of traffic is being removed. I want cyclists to be safe. Lire davantage

Stop wasting taxpayer’s money on removing bike lanes. Separated bike lanes create a safer environment for both drivers and cyclists.
