The lease program should come to an end. These properties should then be naturalized. Rondeau Provincial Park should follow the same policy as Point Pelee toward naturalization of this peninsula. Both parks are important natural areas. Rondeau is an Important Birding Area.

Leases on the cottages within Rondeau Provincial Park should not be renewed by reneging on an earlier declaration that the leases should be terminated in 2017. The park should not belong to a few selected people who had the money to buy into it.

We are writing to tell you that we are against the proposal to extend the leases of cottage holders in Rondeau Provincial Park to 2038. By doing this, the province is putting the recreational pastimes of a few ahead of the the environment and the benefit of the majority of Ontarians.
