My husband's family has a cottage at Rondeau. I have read the proposal, but throughout the proposal, not once have I read or understood "why this is being proposed."
my uncle owns a cottage at Rondeau. I have had the pleasure of visiting their many times and I can't believe what my uncle has told me about the Ministry's proposal. I may only be 16 years of age, but I know when someone is being cheated.
As a family member of several cottage owners within the park boundries I find it completely irrational to limit the abilty of families to pass on property to generations to come.
It is completely unacceptable to extend cottage leases in Rondeau Provincial Park , thereby failing to honour the earlier declaration that the leases are to be terminated in 2017. All cottagers entered into their leases with the full knowledge that they would not be renewed after that date.
The cottage leases in Rondeau Provincial Park should not be extended. This is a very special area - home to many special birds and animals and they need to be protected from human invasion. Please, do not extend the cottage leases.
As a family member who spent several childhood summers on the shores of Lake Erie at Rondeau Park, I am deeply saddened that my Canadian family may lose their cottage due to this lease increase. The cottage in Rondeau is where my parents took myself and my siblings as we were growing up.
I am quite disappointed to here that the cottage leases are being considered for extension. Cottages in protected areas have direct impacts on ecological integrity and thus nullify the efforts made towards protecting rare ecosystems and species at risk in this province.

Sir: in regard to the proposal to extend cottage leases in Rondaeu Park: I am strongly opposed to such an action.
If the original lease agreement was set to expire in 2017, that should remain the case.

I object to the MNR giving the cottagers at Rondeau Park another 28 years interfering with the natural habitat of the Park.
