On October 8, 2018, the International Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) released another report calling for urgent action to reduce carbon emissions and hold the global temperature increase to 1.5 degrees Celsius. As Canadians and Ontarians, we must do our part to reduce carbon emissions. Read more

I wish to express by deep concern about Bill 4 and the abolition of the Cap & Trade program. While the evidence of climate change is all around us I find it appalling that the provincial government has more commitment to big and small business than to the survival of our planet. Read more

The announcement by the United Nations concerning climate change shows just how much we should be concerned thus carbon tax should be mandatory! Climate change should not be a political issue but a personal one for each of us for the survival of our planet.

I want a real climate change policy that reduces emissions, helps people save energy and create jobs in the $26 trillion clean economy. I want this Ontario government to be forward-thinking. If you are a government for the people, make policies for the people and especially for our young people. Read more

I find it irresponsible for the Government of Ontario to put through a Bill to repeal the existing the Climate Change Mitigation and Low-carbon Economy Act, 2016 without prior submission of a Bill outlining time specific targets for greenhouse gas emissions. Read more

I don't want to be embarrassed to live in Ontario. If I choose to drive instead of walking or taking public transit, then yes, I should pay a tax. If consumers aren't forced to change their habits, they will be lazy and continue to use fossil fuels. Read more

Cancelling this is a terrible idea. It goes against decades of scientific and engineering research in order to fulfil a short-term political agenda and score a few points, maybe save a few dollars, at the expense of our health and our environment. This is not rhetoric. Read more

Ontario's cap and trade system created funds for infrastructure projects which benefited all municipal governments and which encouraged innovated and efforts to reduce the carbon imprint. Ontario must show leadership in setting carbon emission targets.
