I agree with Ontario's current proposal to cancel and eliminate the environmental carbon pricing instruments in the form of the "cap-and-trade" regime and any related legislation, regulations, inter alia. Consider abolishing, or amending suitably, the Ontario Environmental Bill of Rights. Read more

I strongly oppose Bill 4 that is cancelling Cap and Trade as a tool to limit carbon emissions. Cap and Trade is a "Stick and Carrot" tool that is effective in showing companies that there is a consequence to producing too much carbon and a reward for reducing emissions. Read more

Climate Change is the biggest issue affecting Ontarians, let alone the world. We need to keep the Cap and Trade legislation because it is effective at reducing greenhouse gas production in Ontario. At the very least there must be some form of carbon pricing. Read more

Before you get rid of Cap and Trade, you should have a plan in place to replace it. You should not be spending OUR money on lawyers to fight the federal government's carbon tax legislation. Most lawyers think you will lose and waste our money. Read more

Before anything is dismantled, I think the smartest (and safest) thing to do is first establish a much better program to replace the current one. To not have a strong protective environment plan in place is irresponsible, negligent, and frankly the worst course of (in) action. Read more

Wait, so it will both remove the cap and trade program, a program meant to encourage companies to mitigate their carbon footprint through market force influence, AND make it so people couldn't take action against this new Act? Seems a bit much, eh? Read more

The cancellation of the Cap and Trade system is a shortsighted view and is being pushed through while misinforming the people by calling it a tax. The future higher costs you are now imposing upon us is not helping the people of Ontario and goes against what you say you stand for.
