Similar to my input on the Clean Energy Act itself, I’m concerned about the emphasis on the present supply situation. I’d like to see mention of developers being able to argue future supply, or replacement supply, and have that be mandated to factor in to the IESO’s decisions. Read more

Again this provincial government has ludicrous ideas. We are in a position where we need to transition to renewable clean energy. We should not be stifling the growth of renewable energy. Let’s start the transition while we have enough energy . Scrap nuclear. Read more

It is imperative to promote the development of renewable energy in order to meet future energy demands without contributing to global warming. We need to stimulate renewable energy projects, not impede them through legislation such as the proposed regulation.

you are wrong. i don't think a project developer should have to show DEMAND for energy when building a reneweable project. an excess of energy will lead to lower prices for everyone. too much energy, especially if it isn't making the environment worse, is not a bad thing. Read more

We should not restrict renewable energy projects on the basis of this government proposal. Businesses make their own decisions based on economics and we have to let the market decide. We also have to respect any existing contracts so as to be a safe place to do business. Read more

I do not agree with this change in legislation. In order to address GHG emissions and address climate change, we need more renewable energy on the grid and we need to change over from fossil fuel energy sources. Read more
