We need to do as much as we can as soon as we can. We MUST stop delaying saving the incredibly important creatures on the ground and in the air. It can't always be about humans. It has to be about the rest of the living fauna . It's our job as humans to protect them and their environment. Read more

I am deeply concerned about Bill 5. Just it's name "Protect Ontario by Unleashing our Economy Act" scares me. You are not protecting Ontario by unleashing anything. The economy is not above the law. Read more

This is completely unacceptable. With a faster changing climate and immediate threats to biodiversity, reducing the approach to endangered species is completely backwards. How can we be proud to be Canadian when this is happening?

I find it egregious that we’re still having these discussions? Did Ford learn nothing from the Green Belt scandal? We do not need to develop or remove protections on these lands to make it easier for crooked developers to continue to destroy our public lands. There is enough land already. Read more

There are so many aspects of this proposal that are extremely detrimental to environmental and conservation work in Ontario. The Recovery Plans and Documents section of the proposal fails to acknowledge the importance of the review process for species listing. Read more

I strongly oppose this Bill, I do not believe it aligns with Ontarian values and does not protect our home on Native land. It is short-sighted and dangerous to our environment.

I find it extremely short sited and dangerous to practically gut the Endangered Species Act 2007 and replace it with a toothless Species Conservation Act 2025. Leaving decisions on protecting species up to industry and politicians is not wise policy. Read more
