I am gravely concerned about the impact on sensitive species if these changes go into effect. It sounds like a green light to impact or destroy habitat without having to go through environmental assessment processes. Read more

The shift from protecting wildlife and green space to prioritizing economic development is unnecessary and reckless. Should this proposal go through, the conservatives will lose my support immediately for the next provincial election.

A very disappointing move by the government which will impact various ecosystems at risk of extinction. Imagine if someone came and wiped out your home and your livelihood in the stroke of a pen. You wouldn't let it happen. Give your head a shake and keep protection laws in place.

• Repeal of the Endangered Species Act 2007 move would eliminate the existing comprehensive legal protections for endangered, threatened, and special concern species in Ontario. • this means not all species identified by COSSARO would automatically receive legal safeguards. Read more

Government of Ontario should not have the ability to remove endangered Species from the list. This needs to be the responsibility of independent organizations who use science and evidence to guide decision making. This is a bad idea.

Removing the protected areas to ensure all species of birds, endangered or not, is not something that should ever be a discussion. Our forests and wetlands should not be up for grabs ever.

I oppose this. This is yet another move by the provincial government to ignore science, disrespect our natural environment, and bulldoze indigenous rights, under the guise of helping with housing. Read more

PLEASE DONT DO THIS!! Why put endangered birds at higher risk? There does not seem to be a logical resson to do such thing. If anything, we should continue to keep as many birds as we can AWAY from endangerment or even extinction. Read more
