Why is your government hellbent on destroying the evnironment? The place we need to live, breathe, grow, sustain and thrive? Why do you continue to ignore climate change realities? Why do you hate the people who live in your province so much? Read more

The process is complicated because it should be. Without a thorough analysis, at risk species could become extinct. We have already caused an extinction event. Biodiversity is complicated and delicate handling of the nature rich environments that are still intact is imperative. Read more

This removal of the protection of endangered species is unacceptable for Ontario. We need to be doing more, not less to support our wild spaces and all creatures, including birds in these spaces. This decision is reprehensible and must be reneged for the future of Ontario and the world at large.

I strongly oppose any changes that would weaken existing regulations protecting birds and endangered species. These protections are essential not only for the survival of vulnerable wildlife but also for maintaining the health of ecosystems that benefit all of us. Read more

I’ve been an Ontario birder for the last 10 years. I’ve seen so many amazing birds in this province including many that are at risk such as Red Headed Woodpeckers and Prothonotary Warblers. I’d like to continue seeing these species and have their habitat protected. Read more

Ontario needs to be an environmental leader. It cannot be a devastator which destroys all it touches. We must move forward into the future, not a past of environmental destruction.

As a resident, born and raised in Ontario, I am concerned about the cost of housing. Frankly, I don't know if I will ever have the money to purchase a house in my hometown. Read more

I am writing to express my deep concern about the proposed changes to Ontario’s Endangered Species Act. These changes appear to prioritize short-term economic interests over the long-term protection of our province’s most vulnerable species and ecosystems. Read more

I do not agree with the proposed changes and believe the changes pose a significant risk to our endangered and protected wildlife. I’m extremely disappointed to be reading the proposed changes and blatant disregard for our environment.

To my understanding there's no reason to change environmentally sensitive bills it took over 20 years to get these bills passed and there is no actual evidence that the old bill slows down development or growth unless it is in an area that maybe shouldn't be developed like the green belt .... I oppose Bill 5. It guts protections, ignores science, and tramples Indigenous rights. Scrap it. Stop weaponizing crisis for personal gain and trying to pawn it off as for the people. Read more

This proposal is very concerning. It is not an impartial proposal and is heavily swayed to have a positive impact for developers. Endangered species, and ultimately the environment as a whole, requires stricter protection and enforcement, now more than ever. Read more
