As an Ontario citizen, I am opposed to the establishment of “Special Economic Zones” where provincial laws, regulations, instruments, municipal by-laws, and municipal instruments can be suspended to enable “trusted proponents” to develop projects. This raises serious concerns about the rule of law. Read more

Bill 5 is not a technical or administrative proposal. It is a deliberate shift in governance priorities away from sustainability, accountability, and equity—toward political expediency and private profit. Years of research and development of policy that protects rights will be undermined. Read more
