I do not support the proposed changes in Bill 5. I do not think that development should be allowed to commence without the proper environmental assessments and without thorough permits; development should not come at the cost to biodiversity and greenspace that we all need to survive. Read more

This bill removes an aspect of democracy that is valuable. These decisions affect the well being of nature and people. Public consultations should be continued. Once we remove aspects of protection for the benefit of business it is impossible to replace what is lost for decades. Read more

This is a very bad idea. How can a town of 2500 people be placed right beside a mega dump? This is not a special economic zone. We live and breathe the air here and now we are in jeopardy. This is an agricultural zone and it will be forever destroyed by this dump. Conagra will leave. Read more

As a resident of Ontario, I am opposed to Bill 5. Bill 5 is a sweeping attack on endangered species protections, Indigenous rights, and even the rule of law. Bill 5 scraps the endangered species act leaving Ontario's most at-risk animals in danger. Read more
