What can I say but this bill does not fight delays as proven by actual studies, and is just a result of the corruption of our elected "representatives".

This is the most backward thinking possible. I commute near Bloor and Dufferin - it was easy during Covid when there were no cars, but it's otherwise never been quick to drive a car there. And it's difficult to park. Read more

Bike infrastructure does not worsen congestion, and the government's own internal research confirms this. In fact, obstructing sustainable transportation and limiting people's options to choose modes other than driving is extremely likely to make congestion worse. Read more

Decades of studies and data have proven, incontrovertibly, that, in dense urban environments, induced demand ensures that increasing lanes and even building new roads will not address traffic issues - there are simply too many potential drivers in a city. Read more

The government’s own internal research confirms that bike infrastructure does not negatively impact congestion. Restricting sustainable transportation and limiting people’s ability to choose alternatives to driving is far more likely to make congestion worse. Read more

I adamantly oppose any measure by the Province of Ontario to restrict the ability of municipalities to make decisions concerning the allocation of road space among alternative uses, such as lanes for cars, bicycles, dedicated bus priority lanes or extensions of the sidewalk for cafes. Read more

I disagree with this piece of legislation. It puts plenty of vulnerable people directly in harms way and is likely a violation of section 7 of the charter of rights.

I am frustrated by the Province of Ontario making regulations that don't allow citizens of Ontario to democratically determine how public space is to be used. I can appreciate that people riding bikes are an easy target; however, I happen to be one of them. Read more

Hello Environment Registry of Ontario, Regarding Schedule 5 of Bill 60-I am confused that you're concerned about the environmental implications of traffic congestion, and yet believe that taking control over municipalities regarding bike lanes would help resolve the issue. Read more

This bill will do incredible harm to tenants and working Canadians. It will make housing even less affordable and lead to greater abuses by landlords than we are already seeing in Ontario. Read more

I am against Bill 60 and it's provisions to limit the development of bike lans. We need to support all transportation options, not just cars. Read more

Not allowing bike lanes especially with non-enforcement of speed limits will make me feel less safe. It makes no sense. Traffic on Bloor in Toronto sped up after the introduction of bike lanes (confirmed by routes recommended by google maps). Read more
