As a resident who has lost family members due to vehicular crashes while cycling, it is absolutely heartbreaking and outraging to see steps taken to make roads statistically-proven to be more dangerous and deadly.

Research on induced demand makes it very clear that having more lanes of traffic creates more car traffic. If we cannot add safe infrastructure then cyclists who could be in protected bike lanes will instead be taking up an entire lane of the road and slowing car traffic. Read more

We need our bicycle lanes, bus lanes, streetcar lanes. They are the major transportation method used by the majority of the city. If you take them away, you will not only increase subway rush hour, and pollution, but you will also take away from the people their first resource of transportation. Read more

I don't think the Bill 60 which prohibits lane reduction for private vehicles is a good idea. There are more and more cyclists on the road which results in less pollution and carbon emissions from vehicles. It's an efficient way to get around the city which I and many others use often. Read more

This proposal is so poorly conceived and executed that it would be laughable, were its authors not sincere in their goal of disempowering municipalities and disrupting public commentary/input on local projects. Read more

This bill is awful. It not only makes it easier to evict renters but once again attempts to displace cyclists on the roads and robs the ability for transit priority lanes to be implemented. Read more
