I agree with Hamilton Conservation Authority’s submission to the ERO. Specifically, 1. I do not feel that the Province has provided evidence showing why the merger is needed. 2. I think that strong conservation depends on local relationships. 3. Key details remain unknown. Read more

I am against this proposal and believe that it will weaken environmental stewardship of Ontario's watersheds and flood protection planning authorities. There is insufficient evidence that this proposal will provide net benefits to Ontarians.

I am against this proposed legislation as there is no demonstration of net benefits. This would only serve to weaken envriomental protections and planning that Ontarians deserve and expect, at a time where it is most urgently needed.

This is utter, despicable corruption. Research the legal definition of corruption, including political and financial forms of it. It must stop. The destruction of our officially, legally and formally mapped floodplains must stop. Read more

We agree with HCA's submission to the ERO. We are concerned about losing local decision-making and about supporting conservation decisions in our community. Stop developing larger bureaucracies that ignore local needs and are expensive to run. After all, wasn't regional government eliminated? Read more

I am deeply opposed to this change. I agree with HCA’s submission to the ERO. I am concerned about losing local decision-making and I support keeping conservation decisions rooted in our community. I am suspicious that this is being done to ease the carving out of green spaces for developer profit.
