i believe you should keep cap and trade in place, and move forward using it as one of ontario's levers to fight climate change. tweek it to improve it if you want to make it better. and then add your own ideas to fight climate change. such a waste of time and capital to scrap this plan. Read more

Very disappointing. To think that our government believes that lower gas prices are a higher importance than saving the planet is not "For the People". Sunsetting the Cap and Trade program, that indirectly employed 1000's in Ontario, before a replacement is in place, is irresponsible. Read more

ELectric Vehicles are the only thing that will reduce our carbon emissions significantly. We need a plan in place that discourages company’s from carbon emissions and a plan that provides funding to provide incentives for people to buy EVs. Read more

There are no legitimate climate change mitigation strategies that do not involve a hard cap on carbon emissions, and some form of price for exceeding these. Cap and trade markets have been both criticized and lauded for encouraging industry to tackle only the low hanging fruit. Read more
