This is a disgrace and shameful act by Ford. Why does he insist on dragging ass backwards, and doing progress that we’ve made? It’s disgusting that he calls himself everyone’s friend, while actively working against the quality of our lives, let alone our children’s future.

Cancelling Ontario's cap and trade legislation is the most irresponsible thing I can imagine our government doing. This is a step backwards. If you think cap and trade is going to hurt our economy just wait until the full costs of climate change mitigation and adaptation hit us. Read more

I am extremely angry at this government's utter disregard for the welfare of our planet. By the time my child is grown, the earth will be beyond help. And all for the sake of the almighty dollar. I don't care about your ten-cent drop in gas prices if it kills our planet.

Climate change effects every area of our lives - our homes, work, health and family, the food we eat, the nature around us, those we share this world with (especially those most vulnerable), our ability to feel safe and hopeful, and the prospects for our children. Read more

This will doom us all. Please do not condemn us with this. We need to do everything we canto counter what climate changes are coming, to minimize them. I want my daughter and any children she may have, and any they may have, and further, to have hope, to have a viable future, to have a good life. Read more

“There’s a new normal in Canada on the issue of climate change,” said Abacus chairman Bruce Anderson. “Half of voters won’t consider politicians who don’t take the issue seriously – and most other voters also believe action is needed and inaction will result in catastrophe.” Read more

I align with the right wing when it comes down to conservatives. That being said our damaged environment is going to hurt our economy way more than regulation could ever. We are running on borrowed time & the interest rates giving by mother nature are outrageous. Read more

As a Canadian citizen and resident of Kitchener, Ontario I strongly oppose any backwards step in fighting climate change. Repealing this program is pure politics. If the conservatives have a better plan that will achieve even better results, please present it. Read more
