We need climate action now. The most recent IPCC Report stated that "limiting global warming to 1.5°C compared with 2°C would reduce impacts on ecosystems, human health and well-being, making it easier to achieve the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals." Read more

I urge you to support Ontario’s current science-based pollution reduction targets. Those targets set the province on track to be nearly carbon neutral by mid-century, which is what is required if we hope to limit global warming to 1.5 degrees, as agreed to by 195 countries in Paris. Read more

The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change just issued a frightening warning that we earthlings only have about a dozen years to turn things around. The signs are already here - increased wildfires, two very dangerous killer hurricanes, melting arctic ice and so on. Read more

The MECP suggestion that we will save nominally at the pump concerns me when coupled with economics of consumption - in fact, one can calculate that a savings of $0.045/L saving $80 per household per year translates to money spent driving additional Kms. Read more

This is an incredibly irresponsible decision that offers no alternative method of fighting climate change. This seems like clear pandering to polluting corporations and does now reflect the wishes of Ontarions, nor does it address the best scientific data we have available. Read more

We no longer have the luxury of time to act on climate change and environmental issues at large. Cancellation of this act is not an option. It is crucial for the survival of the human race that we take action to minimize out impacr. We need our environment to thrive.
