I am not an environmentalist. I have not always been environmentally conscious, nor have I taken any steps to reduce my carbon footprint. This has changed since the current government has decided to try to save some money by cancelling any environmentally friendly policies. Read more

Bill 4 is totally unacceptable. It eliminates the only plan that Ontario has to address the urgency of the climate crisis. The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change reports that we are dangerously close to crossing the catastrophic 1.5C tipping point that would lead to runaway climate change. Read more

I can't believe that we are considering repealing climate change legislation instead of doubling down. This is an existential threat that is one of the key factors for my voting decisions. I don't understand how we are going to encourage improved performance without this legislation.

I am extremely concerned about the absurd reluctance of politicians to do what the market itself will never do, which is to impose a price on carbon. We need to pay this price, but we are fixing our grandkids and their kids to do it. Shame on us. We must impose that price, yesterday. Read more
