Please don't pass Bill 4 our environment can not take any more pollution than it already has. We have known this fact since the sixties and we still have not done enough to help this poor world that we have created. We have to look to the future for our childrens' children. Read more

I don't understand why while recognizing that Climate change and Global Warming is real, the government wants to cancel a multi provincial and state system, which has been effective in delivering climate mitigation projects, while having no alternative plan developed. Read more

Please do not repeal of the Climate Change Mitigation and Low-carbon Economy Act, 2016 without a climate change plan replacement. We cannot afford to ignore climate change - we must act. I am a young adult and our future health and economy is at stake. Read more

Terrible idea to repeal Cap and Trade in Ontario. Global warming is threatening the very survival of our species, not to mention many others. Governments need to deal with this urgent threat NOW; not pass the buck to future generations. Please don't proceed with the proposed repeal!

I agree that the declining cap was not practicable. The plan to stop carbon emissions from buildings didn't have a viable technical basis. Dropping speed limits and replacing truck freight with trains hasn't even been mentioned. No one is serious about a carbon cap - anywhere.

Please don't cancel Cap and Trade. More importantly, set ambitious targets and aggressive strategies to address climate change and ensure we leave a healthy planet to future generations. Only government can act on this file. Don't give up your responsibility. Read more

At this incredibly crucial time for our Earth, we must do everything in our power to deal with the degradation of the environment. Scientists and economists acknowledge that a cap and trade program is an extremely effective way of controlling pollution and enabling pollution-controlling programs. Read more

What is it about climate risk that is not understandable? All around us we are seeing and experiencing the ravaging results of an unhealthy environment. Every year the events become more catastrophic. Our once healthy oceans have become dumping grounds for garbage. Our ice fields are melting. Read more

It is poor fiscal management and not in the public interest to repeal legislation that was well vetted, had many staff and public resources dedicated to it and, most of all, will have a positive long term impact for the residents of Ontario and our planet as a whole. Read more

The ending of the Cap and Trade Program which funded the EHVIP program has had a major financial impact on my family. Just prior to the election, our representative advised us to purchase the electrical car we were considering as Premier Ford (if elected) would shut down the program. Read more

Bill 4 is a leap backwards. Consider the resent International Panel on Climate Change's disturbing report that says we are dangerously near a runaway climate change. We must not eliminate the province's only climate change plan. Do not pass Bill 4.
