Stupid idea to reduce the distances. 30 meters? That's just wrong. Let's see... we tell people to be careful of garbage and food waste and so on so that they don't attract bears yet you want to bait them within 30 meters of roads?? Remember, other people are allowed to use those roads... Read more

Deliberately attracting bears and other wildlife closer to human activity is exactly what causes attacks by habituated animals. Why would you even consider this dangerous change? Is the hunting lobby completely running this governments environmental/wildlife legislation?

Regarding ERO 019-0020 - I am writing in protest of the entire spring bear "hunt". Even those who identify as "ethical hunters" consider it a most vile practice. It is pretty much the equivalent of shooting fish in a barrel, but takes much less skill. Read more

This is an absolutely horrible idea. There is a much greater risk to pets/hikers etc. with this proposed change. Hunters/trappers may be vocal, but they are a very small portion of the voting citizens. Read more

Re: ERO019-0022 - This application is clearly irresponsible from a public safety standpoint and should not be allowed. We need to protect our wildlife, not make it even easier to kill them. Read more
