Council for the Municipality of Neebing supports the proposed changes and would like to see them implemented as soon as possible. Council wants the ESA to be a workable guideline for forest operations rather than become a tool for special interest groups to create roadblocks.

As a professional forester in Ontario, I believe that the crown forest in Ontario is best managed under the CFSA. Removing duplication and overlap with the ESA will yield better results for species at risk, the forest industry and all stakeholders.
