How was the limit of "379,000 litres per day in total within a municipality" established as the benchmark under which approval from the local municipality is not required? This reasoning should be included and transparent in any summary communication. Read more

I am pleased to see that the Ontario government is proposing regulatory changes for the management of water takings to protect long-term sustainability of surface water and groundwater. At the same time, I believe these proposed regulations need to be strengthened. Read more

Fresh drinking water from our taps and from our natural resources is a human and civil right in this country that has the most fresh water in the world. It is not for big greedy big corporations to profit from!,!! pLEASE protect it and ban. Ommerxial exploitation.

Water is a human right - a means to life or to death. everyone should be able to have clean water. It is very fearful to me to know that water can be drawn from the soil easily, draining the soil of its potential and eventually drying out the soil that it will eventually become a desert. Read more

The province must stop all water-taking permits for bottled water companies NOW. There is no need for bottled water in Ontario, we have the source water protection act since the Walkerton tragedy to make sure the water in our taps is safe. Read more

Having an enhanced water management strategy is a good idea. Water should be maintained available for use by public and municipalities as priority uses. Any commercial or private usage should be considered secondary, especially in times of low water availability. Read more

Hi there, i am writing about protecting our fresh water. We must ! Please ban bottled water sales at grocery stores. Please impose a by law that you must obtain a buying permit to show you do not have access to fresh tap water before you can buy bottled water in ontario. Read more
