Support will not be needed for small water takings. Within stressed areas, like Centre Wellington, the threshold for host municipality input should be reduced to the permit to take water threshold of 50,000 litres per day so the cumulative impact of all permitted takings can be considered. I believe that you should stop filling plastic water bottles altogether, wether sustainable or not! Cause what you are doing is creating plastic waste! That is more harmful and unsustainable than any water conservation plan you may have!

The issue of water taking for the purpose of bottling and sale of water goes beyond simple sustainability. Water is essential to all life forms and must be considered an inalienable right for all. To allow commodification of water is to limit or deny that right for the purpose of financial profit. Read more

Within the next 10 years, particularly in the face of global warming, fresh drinking water will likely become the MOST VALUABLE ASSET on the planet. All life depends on it, so water should be for life, and people, not for profit, as air is. Read more

To Whom it may concern, I am strongly against the taking of any water for bottling purposes. It seems so ridiculous to think with all we now know that we would consider to support this type of industrial activity, and social irresponsibility. Read more

I most fervently ask the Ontario government to stop giving permits for bottled water extraction. I have a deep fear that the consequences of this extraction will jeopardize our water supply for all Ontario's. But water flows and thus the effect of depletion affects everyone. Read more
