Please do not destroy heritage buildings in Toronto to build a super highway. I believe if you asked Torontonians and people in this province with a wish specifically they would not go along with this. Don’t go behind our backs please.

This zoning proposal is an egregious overstep of power by the provincial government. Under the Ford government, MZO use has been tyrannical in nature, disingenuous in intent and far more aligned with a dictatorship than a democracy. Read more

The proposal to allow MZO's to override Conservation Authority protection of wetlands is a terrible idea and should not proceed. Most of the examples of MZO's I have seen go directly against sound environmental and development policy. Read more

I believe it is undemocratic to increase the minster’s powers and allow the minister to circumvent zoning orders. This government has clearly already used MZOs to abuse their power to not consult the public—33 MZOs in fact. Read more

I vehemently object to Ontario Government’s Bill 197 which is the fourth omnibus bill since the Conservatives took power, a shameful legacy in itself. Bill 197 decimates preexisting environmental protections and undermines public participation in public projects. Read more

Straightforward abuse of power, institutionalized. The implications if this is included in the bill are horrifying on so many levels. Ontario is better than this!
