Here is my list of very invasive plants that should be banned at the cost to our environment if not. Mostly because I see them on my hikes along the Brice Trails or the Ganaraska trail both in Ontario. I also fight to prevent 3 of then from coming into my garden from my neighbors. Read more

Please, for the love of all your poor backyard gardeners, include goutweed as an invasive species. In the variegated form it's sold as ground cover with various names, and it is somewhat manageable. Read more

English Ivy and Periwinkle (vinca minor) should be listed as prohibited. I often see these plant species for sale at nurseries and would like them banned from sale or trade. Even personal possession They are incredibly invasive and they damage our forests’ understory.

It is my understanding that the release of goldfish (various species of ornamental carp) is not yet proscribed under the act. If so I highly recommend it be amended to reflect their invasive status at nearest opportunity, with clear directives to the public in an awareness campaign.
