How is this ERO considered public consultation when Bill 109 has already received royal assent on April 14? The Government has already made a decision on the proposal without giving the public the least amount of time to respond to such proposal (March 30 to April 29). Read more

This bill doesn’t address homelessness, increasing rent, sprawl and its effects on communities and the environment, increased taxes for hiring more people to deal with fee refunds. I don’t agree with fast development with no guarantee of anything. Read more

I would like to see this legislation introduce fines for developers who do not initiate the building process within a specified time period. Some municipalities have thousands of approved residential permits that have been approved for a while and that builders are not acting on. Read more

seems extremely contradictory that the Minister can 'stop the clock' on OPA applications going through MMAH but the municipalities are being legislated to meet extremely tight timelines and will be penalized monetarily if those timelines can't be met
