Cottage families in Rondeau are an integral part of the Park. The history of Rondeau began with its founding, in 1884, specifically for the purpose of cottaging. A permanent solution for continuation of cottaging in Rondeau is in the best interes of the Province, the Park and the Cottagers. Read more

I am an American and purchased a cottage in Rondeau in 1999 because it was the most fabulous place I could find within a two hour drive of Detroit. ERO Notice ID 019-6142 After many years of uncertainty about the future of our family cottage, I would strongly support the option of a long term security of tenure with a sale under Section 9(3) of the Provincial Parks & Conservation Reserves Act (2006) as directed by Minister Jeff Yurek.

This short term lease is needed, but what is definitely needed is a permanent solution for these cottage lots. A sale under Section 9 (3) of the Provincial Parks & Conservation Reserves Act (2006) as directed by Minister Jeff Yurek is the best solution.

I lived for 40 years in Kent County which is now The region of Chatham-Kent and I think that every year there was a discussion about the cottages in Rondeau PP. The people who live or own cottages there have had ample time to find other vacation/living places. Read more
