Just stop the nonsense! How the hell does Ford allowed to bull dose our green belt! He takes away our green belt and spend money that should go to health care and education. Not to get kick backs from his “friends “ and forget what “Green” we have left!

The greenbelt should never be used for development. We need it preserved for the use of future generations. As a conservative supporter. I find it disturbing that the current government wants allow development that would negatively impact that environment.

Please do not modify or remove any land from the greenbelt. Please do not allow for housing to be built on the greenbelt. Greenbelts help us reduce flooding, they clean our water before it goes into Lake Ontario, and they provide vital habitat for many species. Please leave out greenbelt alone.

In 2018 the premier reassured the province that he would not touch the green belt. Since then, developers have been purchasing land along the green belt that should have been useless to them, at prices that would be lower than if they were zoned for development. Read more

The Greenbelt encompasses many environmentally important species and ecosystems which, among other benefits, help keep Ontario's water (eg. Oak Ridges Moraine helps filter water, which helps keep the costs and efforts of water treatment plants lower) and air clean. Read more

How can a government run for office promising to protect green spaces and then once elected do the total opposite? It's an abuse of people's confidence. Paving over green spaces is a very bad idea. Children know that, why don't adult leaders ? Why would any person buy a house built in flood areas? Read more
