As a lifelong resident of the Paris Galt Moraine and an advocate for the conservation of our beautiful land, this proposed amendment to the Plan is a sad attempt for our Premier to further pad his pockets and support his buddies behind the excavators. Read more

Everyone involved in the Proposed Amendments to the Greenbelt Plan should be ashamed of themselves. I am 100% against any of these proposed changes to the Greenbelt Plan. It's pathetic that the government is using the housing crisis as an excuse to destroy the Greenbelt. Read more

I am opposed to the removal of protected Greenbelt lands, with a so-called substitution of lands. These Greenbelt lands were selected as the best lands for protection based on a lengthy, open, detailed and comprehensive public planning process. Read more

I'm not happy about the proposed changes to Ontario's greenbelt. We are slowly developing every bit of natural land, bit by bit. Our greenbelt is important to many people in Ontario. Removing pieces and adding new pieces (of land that's already protected and undevelopable) is just sneaky. Read more

This decision by government is the farthest thing from open and transparent as possible. Public servants have a clear obligation to avoid conflicts of interest and Premier Ford needs to follow the rules which have been put in place to ensure responsible government.

I have concerns for the future of our environment in Canada. Right now the Premiere Doug Ford is trying to develop the area on the Greenbelt. This land is protected to prevent urban sprawl and our access to natural areas. This land is essential to our national plants and animals and Canadians. Read more

The proposed changes to the green belt are a deeply disturbing idea that will set a precedent that protected lands can be unprotected. I am against this in the strongest terms possible. The growth of Ontario should not be at the expense of protected lands.
