Building in the green belt does not solve the housing issues today. I am a young conservative voter who has voted in the last 3 elections. I will no longer be voting conservative after hearing about the green belt, highway 413 and the state of our hospitals Read more

I think this is a bad idea and am against the proposal. Yes we need more housing and you've been given recommendations that can do this without going into the greenbelt. We're already trying to combat the effects of climate change, don't make it worse simply to make profit for corporations. Read more

Please reread your own task force’s report it states that development in the green belt isn’t needed no would make a significant impact in getting us more houses. Why bother with a report if you were just going to ignore it and waste tax payer dollars on it? Read more

This plan is an ecological disaster that will do nothing to ameliorate the housing crisis. We need changes to density and an end to single family housing zoning. By paving the greenbelt we open residents to flooding and we are going to cripple our food production during a period of climate change. Read more

I am opposed to development on the greenbelt. One farmland and natural area have been developed there is no way to get that land back. The loss of vital farm land, wetlands, and other environmentally sensitive areas will negatively impact Ontario for ever. Read more

This proposal is an absolute sham and borderline criminal. It is particularly insulting as it stands to enrich developpers with NO GUARANTEE of benefits to the public. PUBLIC LAND SHOULD SERVE THE PUBLIC. If it is to be developped, it should be guaranteed community housing / afforbable housing. Read more

I question the density of housing that will be built on this land. Large properties with detached homes for the wealthy are not worth sacrificing the greenbelt for and will do little to ease the housing crises which is affecting those with less means. Read more
