The Greenbelt was created to preserve specific habitats. Moving part of it will destroy some unique ecosystems. This is not a solution to the housing crisis.
The Greenbelt is precious to Ontario. The environment and wildlife depend on the Greenbelt. It is unacceptable to use the housing crisis as an excuse to take away precious land. It is clear that this plan will not fix the housing crisis issue.

I oppose this plan to open up the green belt for development in a so called "land swap". The green belt was established with the intention that it would be untouchable land - land that exists for the enjoyment and protection of future generations, such as from flooding.
