It is extremely important to me that we protect the green space we have in our province. The destruction of this natural ecosystem will have far-ranging effects on the people who live here and will worsen the current climate crisis.

Developing the green belt is a terrible idea that will undoubtedly have huge negative impacts for Ontario’s natural environment, which we should be doing all we can to protect. There are so many viable alternatives, cutting into the green belt should not even be considered.

I do not support the proposed amendment to the Greenbelt Plan. I am extremely disappointed and shocked at the actions of this government. The Greenbelt is a permanently protected area that provides us with fresh air, clean water and is home to plenty of wildlife.

Please keep the Greenbelt green. We've seen what happens in other cities when they build on floodplains and pave over forests. Let's keep the Greenbelt.
Why touch the Greenbelt when there's available space elsewhere to build? And instead of building single family homes in the Greenbelt, a better alternative is building mid-density housing. Scrap plans for single family homes with huge yards and put in some low level condos/apartments.

The greenbelt lands were set aside to be protected from development to protect our water and green spaces (which have countless ecological functions) for future generations.
