I am against the Province of Ontario removing lands from the Greenbelt and redesignate others. The Greenbelt must be left intact, and expanded, to preserve Ontario’s prime agricultural lands, sensitive wetlands, and the ecosystem services the entire province, and much of Canada, rely upon.

I am fully against removing land from the Greenbelt. With the environment in dire straits it boggles the mind that this proposal is even on the table. The Greenbelt must be protected for the health and well-being of the lands and our children.
We have plenty of brown land which we could rezone and build multipurpose housing/ communities. Instead of using land with lavish ecosystems, and fertile soil, we need to start conserving land, as we are going to become more and more reliant on other places for food.

This is a terrible idea when there are so many other areas we could build upon that would not destroy what little greenspace we have left in Ontario. The Ford Gov lied about their intentions, they are frauds of their own words. Do not build through the Greenbelt.
The green belt should remain protected agricultural and natural areas. The green belt should not be paved in the name of sprawl.
No more sprawl over the green belt.
Please for the love of god, do not expand the into the green belt. Look into higher concentrated urban planning, rather than creating a further sprawl which is not the ideal model for creating a more accessible city.

I am very concerned about expanding the hamilton urban boundary. The green belt should not be touched by developers. It is clear hamilton’s can meet housing by infill and medium density builds. This policy is shortsighted and devastating
