Leave the greenbelt alone! It should be expanded if anything, not reduced. Its an investment in our future and the environment. Short sightedness here will cost us more in the long run. Do not sell our future for a quick buck now, especially while sitting on billions unspent. We won't forget!

I do not support development in the Greenbelt. Land set aside to remain free from development should remain free from development. The government should honor those agreements. Those spaces are priceless for the people of Ontario and should remain wild. Read more

I am not in favour of this proposal at all. This has really been an extreme back-tracking from the Ford Government. Before the election last year, he said his government would not touch the greenbelt, and now it seems he has hoped we all forgot about that. Read more

For the last decades, I've seen more and more bedrooms community built, which worsen traffic and contribute to the housing crisis we're facing now. Now you want to eat into the Green Belt to do the same thing, worsen traffic AND the environment at the same time? No. NO! Read more

I strongly am against the proposed amendment to the Greenbelt plan. The location of the Greenbelt ensures that people in the Greater Golden Horseshoe Region have access to green space. It also prevents flooding, water shortages, and a collapse in biodiversity that would impact all of Ontario. Read more

This is a plan with little to no factual research behind it. It is destructive to the environment and will not result in significant positive impacts to the crisis it seeks to rectify. Municipalities are coming out against the plan because it is not based on evidence, it is based on emotion. Read more

A gross misuse of capital and real estate. The greenbelt does not need to be torn down and developed for more single family dwelling. The urban sprawl needs to be abandoned in favour of denser and more efficient combination residential areas. Read more
