I belong to a few crystal and mineral sites and I find that in a few of them, people do not follow these rules of what they can legally take in regards of sizes and amounts and where they are found. Quite a few along lake Superior within the park.

Very disturbed with the changes to public rockhounding. This proposal virtually eliminates the hobby of rockhounding in ontario and it is very disturbing that these proposed changes are even being made.
Mineral collecting is important to Ontario. It is a healthy outdoor hobby for youth. It is a serious study-pastime for amateur scientists. It is a source of tourism revenue for local operators.
