I really approve of this change . I hope the left over tags from the second draw would be available by random draw for anyone who wants to apply . So it is fair compared to the first come first served phone in system we had in the past .

I'm glad to see these changes made! The Current system leaves the option for unavailable tags. I would suggest that any unclaimed tags be put into a random draw at the end so that there is a wild card style chance of getting a tag for anyone who applies

If you lose your points in the second allocation first choice whether you accept the tag or not I think its only fair to offer the turned down tags in a third allocation.

I do applaud the idea of the second chance first choice . But it still no arises the problem if the group has no tags everyone then applies and the group gets multiple tags ( when they only want one) they are loosing multiple members points.

I would suggest that any none claimed tags be available for Groups of 10 or more or Hunt camps in that specific WMU. This would help keep the number of hunters up and ensure a greater opportunity for more to hunt as a group in the specific WMU that they applied to.

This is a welcome change to the system from my perspective. I currently own and run a camp/cabin/outfitter business in WMU29. For the first two years of the points based allocation we had several groups hunting with a bow cow/calf tags which.

I believe that ANY moose tag given should forfeit the hunter of all the points whether they get it in first, second or unclaimed tags. Why should anyone be allowed to harvest this great resource without losing accumulated points period.

I personally love this proposed plan, I believe it will utilize all of the allotted tags fairly instead of being eaten by greed. I truly hope this goes forward and believe with the point system and this addition it will create a efficient fair system
I agree with the changes. This way hunters cannot use unclaimed tags as a way to essentially defer their hunt to the following year preventing many willing hunters from advancing and in turn costing them more money waiting and/or removing themselves from the traditional sport all together.
Tags should be allocated to people that live within the mnr district they are applying for a tag in.
Surplus tags within that district can then be open for a draw to people from outside the district and wmu’s
