We all support this projects as it will ease the pain of housing shortage in Toronto and every year Toronto is receiving more than 24,000 families and none of them could find a place to live and we all need to address this housing crisis by introducing more affordable houses for residents.
This proposal intends to work in partnership with non-profits to deliver a significant amount of below market housing. IN that regard, this proposal represents a significant private sector initiative carried out in collaboration with non-profit providers.
BlackNorth Initiative express our unwavering support for the use of a Minister's Zoning Order (MZO) to facilitate the development of affordable housing at 1635 Lawrence Avenue West, proposed by Spotlight Development Inc.

I very much hope this proposed development proceeds. We desperately need the affordable housing this project would provide, not just for this community but for the city as a whole. I whole heatedly support this development.
I am excited for this incredible opportunity for people seeking affordable housing. I think this project will make homeownership a reality for more individuals and families. Our voices matter, and together, we can make a significant impact in providing affordable living spaces for those in need.

This is a very congested intersection, with my people relying on both Lawrence and Blackcreek for their commute. Adding so much extra residential here would be detrimental to the flow of traffic at this already congested intersection.
This intersection is already way to dense and traffic is always overburdened. Having a residential unit housing hundreds of people at this location is not a good idea.
It has come to my attention that the landlord for this proposed property is attempting to bypass community involvement and input from the City of Toronto. This is not acceptable for what is being proposed for this area.

The traffic at this intersection is hectic enough with lots of drivers already lined up really far back to turn onto the Black Creek. This will just create more car traffic, and making it more difficult to drive through/onto Black Creek.

Please don’t do this. I’ve lived in the subdivision on the south west corner of this intersection for 43 years and seen firsthand what a nightmare and dangerous intersection Black Creek and Lawrence has become.

Why are we putting high rises in an area that is extremely congested, it already takes on average 30 min to go from Eglington on black creek to Lawrence over 40 min in the morning and afternoon, try to come from the 400 down black creek in the morning or afternoon, it is two congested, everyone will

This project is essential to ensuring that residents of York South-Weston can remain in their community without being displaced by rising costs. This project represents a critical step toward creating a more inclusive and sustainable neighborhood where individuals and families can thrive!
