As an Ontario resident, I am strongly opposed to this proposal. I think it's frankly disgusting that the provincial government would try yo sneak this through while voters were distracted by the federal election, but how typical of the Tories to do so.

Getting around the protection of species at risk should be complicated and take time and proper review (one might say it should not be able to be done at all). I am against bill 5.
I vehemently oppose bill 5, as do all others in my social circle. I want the government to increase protections for endangered species, regardless of how “profitable” that land is. Decreasing protections and making exceptions to the law in the name of profit is greedy and unjust.
