I oppose Bill 5. We should be looking for stronger environmental protections not exceptions. I oppose short cuts for industry. If it can’t be done in the current rules then maybe it shouldn’t be done in the first place. Regression is not a solution.

I am a resident in Ontario and I am disappointed in this proposal. I think a registration first approach is grossly inadequate to ensure our endangered species are protected. I do not want to see this proposal go through.
Bill 5 will hurt our already fragile environment and subject more endangered species to extinction. Please listen to your constituents and do not pass this terrible legislation.

I oppose bill 5. Cutting environmental protections for uncontrolled economic development is wrong. Each project should have scientific oversight to determine the environmental impact and whether appropriate protection measures are in place.
